Dundee locals to keep their windows closed - after asbestos was found on a building hit by a devastating fire. Carpet Reclaim Ltd, on Forties Road in the Baldovie Industrial Estate, went up in flames on Sunday evening at around 8pm.

A massive emergency response, including fire engines and police vehicles, descended on the scene. Thick black smoke was seen pouring into the sky from across the city.Fears had been raised that an ageing industrial building could have contained asbestos - which can cause deadly lung disease.Now a statement from NHS Tayside says that the material has been discovered and urged locals to keep their windows shut.It read: "Authorities in Dundee, including emergency services, Dundee City Council and NHS Tayside’s.
