Asda announces extra support for staff during coronavirus outbreak

Asda has announced extra support to its staff who have been impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. The supermarket has already announced that it would pay colleagues who were identified as the most vulnerable and told to self-isolate for 12 weeks in full following the government's announcement last week.

This has now been extended further as Asda has now confirmed that it will offer full pay leave to vulnerable staff affected by Covid-19 including those over 70 or pregnant as well as the carers of extremely vulnerable people.

Colleagues working in its stores and depots will also be provided with 12 weeks pay allowing them to self-isolate and protect their own and their family's health even if not in the recommended vulnerable groups
