Asda forced to step in after self-isolating family's £400 shop crashed to floor outside home

Asda have given a full refund and issued an apology to a self-isolating family who witnessed their food shop fall to the ground while being delivered.

The family's CCTV captured the moment items from a £400 Asda shop were sent flying during a delivery drop-off. Initially David Dawbre from Fairfield, Liverpool, was refused a refund on Monday, May 21.

But once the supermarket giant saw the video they changed their minds, reports the Liverpool Echo. Supermarket delivery drivers have been under pressure due the coronavirus crisis with delivery slots being booked up weeks in advance.
