The Government has announced its latest measures to help prevent a resurgence of the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The rate of transmission of the disease in the country is now estimated to be between 1.2 and 1.8, and the Government says a priority is to get it back below 1. Here are the latest announcements on Ireland's restrictions: Ireland will not move to Phase 4 of the roadmap for reopening the country on Monday.

Instead, the current health measures will remain in place until 10 August. Face coverings must be worn in all shops and retail settings and shopping centres.
