More than 403,000 deaths The coronavirus pandemic has killed at least 403,449 people worldwide since it surfaced in China late last year, according to an AFP tally at around midday today, based on official sources.
More than seven million cases have been registered in 196 countries and territories. The United States is the worst-hit country with 110,514 deaths, followed by Britain with 40,542, Brazil with 36,455, Italy with 33,899 and France with 29,155 fatalities.
