The heartbroken daughter of a great-grandma from Salford has paid tribute to her after she died following a short battle with Covid-19.
Joan Murphy, 83, was an active, happy 84-year-old who only began feeling ill a few days before she died on Sunday (March 29).
Now her daughter is mourning her 'lovely, beautiful' mum at home in self-isolation. She is unable to touch her mum's jewellery that she was given by the hospital as it could be contaminated.
Joan, who was healthy apart from underlying health conditions like diabetes, was a popular figure around Pendleton. She was always seen out and about at the charity shops.
