Avondale Young Farmers have been doing their bit to help keep their community ticking over in the face of the coronavirus lockdown.Volunteers from the organisation have set up a delivery service to help the elderly, vulnerable or self-isolating.Initially offering home deliveries of essentials like food and prescriptions, the scheme has seen the club turn into a veritable pharmacy on wheels. That has seen their efforts help dozens of vulnerable and needy households in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
But club secretary Annie Bryson says the group are delighted to be able to do their bit, adding they are happy to help anyone in need at this time.
