Barcelona have confirmed that new signing Miralem Pjanic has tested positive for the coronavirus. The midfielder took a test on Saturday after "experiencing some discomfort".
The 30-year-old, who recently signed from Juventus in a deal worth £59million, is now isolating at home, and is unable to meet his new Barcelona team-mates for 15 days.
Barcelona added that Pjanic, who penned a big-money deal with the Catalan giants in June, is in good health and recovering. Pjanic's transfer to Barcelona was announced shortly after Arthur went the other way, joining Juventus in a deal worth £66m, plus an additional £8m in bonuses.
