Beachgoers flocking to the coast to enjoy soaring temperatures amid the coronavirus lockdown were hit with scores of parking fines last weekend.
Car parks at beaches in East Lothian have been closed during the lockdown in a bid to discourage visitors from further afield.
East Lothian Council resisted calls to reopen them over the weekend as some lockdown restrictions were eased.Its parking attendants issued 211 penalty notices between Friday and Sunday across the county.
