High street discounter B&M has reopened 49 branches that closed temporarily due to the coronavirus outbreak. The stores will join the 660 that have remained open throughout the pandemic, after the company was named an 'essential' retailer by the Government.
The 49 branches, which B&M wouldn't name, were initially closed because they were based inside shopping centres and on small high streets.
The announcement has been made in a trading update made by the discount retailer today, which said the stores opened their doors on May 1.
