A dad-of-two has been left paralysed from the neck down following a freak paddling pool accident in a family garden. Simon Cooper lost his footing on water-soaked grass and fell into a shallow children's paddling pool at his sister-in-law's garden in Hampshire, it is understood.
The 41-year-old was immediately pulled out the pool but he had lost consciousness, Wales Online reports. He was taken by ambulance to hospital where he was found to have broken a bone in his neck and severed his spinal cord in the accident on May 29.
