A total of 26,711 have now died from coronavirus in the UK as new figures include deaths in care homes and the wider community.
The death toll is a rise of 674 from Wednesday, as the Department of Health now announces an up-to-date daily total for deaths in care homes, where it is feared more people are now dying of Covid-19 than in hospitals.
Figures released earlier on Thursday revealed the number of hospital deaths in the UK from coronavirus dropped for the second day in a row.
England reported 391 new deaths, Scotland had 60, Wales recorded 22 and Northern Ireland's count increased by nine, taking the UK's hospital toll to 22,861.
