British Grand Prix F1 race will go ahead but without fans

The Formula One British Grand Prix, currently scheduled for July 19, is still on but officials have confirmed that it will take place behind closed doors in a letter sent out to fans who have purchased tickets.

The letter, sent by the Managing Director of Silverstone Stuart Pringle, read: "As promised I am writing to let you know the latest regarding the 202 Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix. "I am extremely disappointed to tell you that we are unable to stage this year's British Grand Prix in front of the fans at Silverstone. "We have left this difficult decision for as long as possible, but it is abundantly clear given the current conditions in the country and the government requirements in place now and for the foreseeable future,
