Bryan Adams has issued an apology after he was accused of racism for blaming the coronavirus pandemic on ‘f***ing bat-eating, wet market animal selling bas***ds’.
The Summer of 69 singer received a wave of backlash after he launched into a Twitter rant about his shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall being cancelled this month due to the Covid-19 breakout.
However, he’s now explained his intentions behind the comments while playing an acoustic version of his song Into The Fire in an Instagram post. ‘Apologies to any and all that took offence to my posting yesterday,’ Bryan began. ‘No excuse, I just wanted to have a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet-markets being the possible source of the virus, and promote veganism.
