(Ordinary Level) exam is released and the G.C.E Advanced Level classes commence, applications for scholarships will be called through newspaper advertisements.

CAYCE, S.C. - Authorities said that an unidentified suspect died after falling off a balcony while trying to run away from police. The Cayce Police Department in South Carolina said the incident started early Saturday morning after an officer responded to Guignard Park and noticed two individuals inside a vehicle. The park is closed after dark. As the officer approached the vehicle, the suspects drove away at a high rate of speed before crashing at the Columbia Convention Center.RELATED: Teen pulled from burning barn after upstate NY car crashAfter the crash, police said one suspect escaped and ran away. SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - A 41-year-old man was injured in a drive-by shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.The shooting happened on the 1600 block of South 51st Street Saturday afternoon, just after 1:30, according to officials.The 41-year-old victim was outside when someone in a silver sedan drove by and shot him.The driver of the sedan then drove off.Medics took the man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.Police in the 12th District are investigating the scene.

OGONTZ - A man and a woman are recovering after they were both shot in Philadelphia’s Ogontz section.35th District police were called to the 1800 block of Stenton Avenue Saturday afternoon, around 1:30 p.m., for the double shooting.Police discovered a 30-year-old man shot eight times throughout his body and a 30-year-old woman shot one time, according to officials.Both of the victims were taken to Einstein Medical Center in private vehicles and both were placed in stable condition.Police are investigating the shooting.

PHILADELPHIA - A man has been arrested and charged for the robbery and assault of woman in Center City last week.Police say a 25-year-old female city worker was attacked from behind on the 1400 block of Callowhill Street, in front of the Philadelphia Police headquarters around 6 a.m. on September 14.Surveillance video reportedly caught the moment she was pulled to the ground and dragged about 10-15 feet by the suspect.

MAPLE SHADE, N.J. - A judge has allowed a man to plead guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the shooting death of a New Jersey high school soccer player despite pleas from the victim’s family that the proposed 15-year sentence was too lenient. Twenty-one-year-old Yohan Hernandez of Newark was charged in the slaying of 18-year-old Moussa Fofana, a junior on the Columbia High soccer team. He was shot on a field outside the Underhill Sports Complex in June 2021.
