The cast of Call the Midwife have had their fair share of romantic ups and downs - from the 'Strictly curse' to co-star relationships and long-lasting marriages.

The popular BBC period drama, which started in 2012, takes on important storylines with a heartwarming charm which has continued to delight fans.The show follows a group of midwives, portrayed by a bunch of talented actors, working in East End London during the late 1950s and 1960s.

But off screen, there's been a fair share of drama away from the script and off-screen romances too. Helen George, 39, who plays Trixie Franklin, was recently spotted with her on-screen husband Olly Rix (Matthew Aylward), who are rumoured to be leaving the show for its 13th series.

This comes after Olly split from his girlfriend Natasha Fagri after seven years together and Helen separated from her husband, Jack Ashton in the same month.The co-stars are said to be supporting each other through these tough times, reports Mirror Online.
