As King Charles headed to the hospital to undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate, some royal fans have suggested that it could lead to a thawing in the estranged relationship he has with his son Prince Harry. The pair's relationship has been quite strained in recent years, with Harry making several bombshell accusations about his family in both his Netflix series and in his memoir Spare.
However, with his father being set to undergo surgery, relationship expert Louella Alderson has predicted that Harry may reach out to Charles in the wake of his health news.
Louella has suggested that illnesses often have the potential to heal rifts within families, as they bring some perspective to family members.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: "Prince Harry may reach out to his father and express his support during this time. This could potentially lead to a reunion between the estranged family members. "There is a chance that Charles' surgery shifts focus away from all of the reasons why they might not be getting along and instead towards supporting each other during a difficult time." However, Louella warned that their relationship won't be fixed overnight, as she added: "There appears to be a lot of unresolved tension and hurt between Prince Harry and his father, so it may take time for them to repair their relationship fully." But any communication between them following the surgery could certainly prove to be a "turning point" in their relationship and could lead to further conversations between them.
