Cambuslang teen has heart set on beauty final

A Cambuslang schoolgirl has her eye on the prize after reaching the semi-final of a national beauty pageant.Cathkin High School pupil Rachel Campbell, 14, has seen off competition from girls from all over the UK to stake her claim to a place in the semi-final of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain 2019/2020.

Rachel told the Reformer : “It’s always been a dream of mine and I am so excited to be in the semi-finals. It would definitely be a dream come true to make it to the grand final and represent Cambuslang.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity.” Rachel hopes she will be among the teenagers from across tthe country who will compete for the crown in the spectacular grand final at The Globe in Blackpool in October, when the winner of Miss Junior
