PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating two "suspicious deaths" after two people were slashed in the neck Wednesday night in Kensington. At 7:42 p.m., on the 3000 block of Ruth Street, police say they found a man, approximately 45 years old, and a woman, approximately 30 years old, with their necks slashed. Authorities say both victims were pronounced on location.Responding officers found a knife on scene.

Dan Mook, 84 PHILADELPHIA - An 84-year-old man is being charged with murder in the death of his wife.Dan Mook is accused of stabbing his 82-year-old wife to death, then turning the knife on himself. Officials say police found the suspect with multiple self-inflicted cuts and stab wounds at an assisted living facility in Burlington County on Sunday. He survived the stabbing and is said to be in stable condition at Cooper University Hospital.His wife, Sharon Mook, was found dead in their bedroom.

(Polizia Roma Capitale via Storyful)Italian police were able to determine the car was a rental and managed to identify the driver as a 37-year-old man from Saudi Arabia. The driver was detained after he dropped off the rental car at Milan’s Malpensa Airport. The man had allegedly told authorities that he had gotten confused by his navigation system which led him to take the wrong turn onto the iconic staircase, according to local news media. A complaint has been filed against the man which includes aggravated damage to cultural and monumental assets, according to Italian police. The Spanish Steps were built at the beginning of the 18th century and connect the Piazza di Spagna (Square of Spain) to the Church of Trinità dei Monti. There are 135 steps that make up the staircase and are a popular tourist attraction.

LAGUNA WOODS, Calif. - Officials in Orange County released new details about the suspected gunman who opened fire inside a church in Laguna Woods on Sunday afternoon, saying they believe the shooting was a "politically motivated hate incident." "I will tell you that evil was in that church yesterday," Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer told reporters Monday.The suspected gunman was identified by authorities Monday as 68-year-old David Chou, who is a resident of Las Vegas.  After he was detained at the scene Sunday, he was booked on one felony count of murder and five felony counts of attempted murder, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
