The coronavirus pandemic has meant that a huge amount of much-loved events haven’t been able to go ahead, but that hasn’t stopped people dressing up to the nines in lockdown and enjoying landmark birthdays, meet-ups and events whilst at home.
And the same has applied to Royal Ascot, with a huge amount of fans donning super stylish attire to mark what would’ve been the start of the five-day festival on Tuesday 16 June.This is the first time Royal Ascot has taken place behind closed doors after becoming a ‘royal week’ in 1911.The events usually attract hoards of celebrities and around 300,000 visitors, but super fans have got their hats and raceday attire at the ready and have taken to social media to share their looks, under the hashtags.
