boozers for the last time for the next two weeks at least this evening. New coronavirus rules mean that licensed pubs and restaurants in Scotland must have their doors shut to the public from 6pm.
It is hoped that bars and restaurants in the area will be able to reopen once again on Monday, October 26. Drinkers will not be able to visit licensed premises in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Lothian, Lanarkshire, Forth Valley and Ayrshire & Arran during this time.
Punters have been leaving pubs across the central belt as they drank in the last of the pub experience on Friday evening. Hospitality in the rest of the country will be allowed to remain open between 6am and 6pm during this 16 day period, but they will not be allowed to serve alcohol.
