A popular chippy in the middle of one of the country's Covid-19 hotspots has been blasted after it offered a 45p fish and chips deal and hundreds turned up.

Hungry punters flocked to Mother Hubbard's fish and chip shop in Bradford, West Yorkshire, over the weekend. They were lured in by the bargain meal deal as locals queued for hours to take advantage.

Nicola Khan, who captured video of the queues, said people were not wearing masks or adhering to social distancing as they flocked to the eatery.
