Thousands of people across Scotland have paid tribute to NHS staff and carers for their work during the coronavirus pandemic.
People took to their windows, doorsteps, gardens and balconies to thank staff who are working so hard to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
The 'Clap for our Carers' took place at 8pm with people from across the United Kingdom commending health service workers. So far in Britain a total of 578 people have died after testing positive for the coronavirus.
In Scotland, 25 people have passed away after contracting Covid-19, while 894 have tested positive for the virus.Meanwhile notable buildings were lit up in blue for the salute as part of the #lightitblue campaign which has been organised by members of the
