Repeats of EastEnders are due to hit TV screens as BBC bosses battle the coronavirus pandemic, corporation chiefs announced today.
Covid-19 lockdown restrictions mean it is set to run out of new episodes from Albert Square. But policy director Clare Sumner told MPs “classics” of the long-running soap opera involving 1980s' favourite characters Angie and Den would be shown instead.
