Covid will 'rage around the world for the next four years', expert behind behaviour study says
coronavirus transmission by creating highly accurate mathematical models based on data gathered. Its findings can be used to improve modelling of the virus transmission and to help better predict where and when outbreaks might occur, and bring in measures to prevent them. And it has the potential to provide evidence as to what restrictions could be relaxed further without risking an increase in transmission - vital work. The leading epidemiologist working on the survey, Professor Jonathan Read, has said he doesn't expect normality to be restored by Christmas, which Boris Johnson said he hoped for last month. And Prof Read also warns that it could be several years before we are 'safe from Covid'.Get the latest updates from across Greater

‘I regret all the deaths,’ Brazil’s Bolsonaro says as over 100,000 die from coronavirus
Brazil surpassed a grim milestone of 100,000 deaths from COVID-19 on Saturday night, and five months after the first reported case the country has not shown signs of crushing the disease. The nation of 210 million people has been reporting an average of more than 1,000 daily deaths from the pandemic since late May and reported 905 for the latest 24-hour period. The Health Ministry said there had been a total of 3,012,412 confirmed infections with the new coronavirus — death and infection tolls second only to the United States. And as in many nations, experts believe that both numbers are severe undercounts due to insufficient testing.
