Amid 21-day lockdown, confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in India rose to 1,251 including 49 foreign nationals on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of these, 46 cases are being assigned to states to initiate contact tracing. Active cases according to the ministry rose to 1,117, while 102 patients have been cured and discharged, including one migrated patient.
Fresh deaths on Sunday were reported from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Surpassing Maharashtra's number of positive cases, which was earlier the worst-hit state, Kerala now has 202 positive cases with one death, becoming the most-affected state currently.
