Coronavirus: American TV dramas donate on-set medical supplies to emergency services

American dramas Grey's Anatomy, Station 19 and The Resident have stepped up amid the coronavirus epidemic. The TV shows have handed over supplies from their on-set stock to help the emergency services.

Medical supplies are in high-demand due to the deadly bug spreading and manufacturers are struggling to keep up with the demand of growing cases of Covid-19.

Speaking on Good Morning America on Thursday, Krista Vernoff, executive producer of ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Station 19, shared that they have given their local fire station 300 N95 masks.

She said: "They were tremendously grateful. At Grey’s Anatomy, we have a back-stock of gowns and gloves which we are donating as well. "We are all overwhelmed with gratitude for our healthcare workers
