A sporty 14-year-old, described as an 'angel' by his loved ones, is believed to be Europe's youngest coronavirus victim with no major underlying health conditions.
Tragic Vitor Godinho, from Ovar, south of Porto in Portugal, died early this morning after being taken ill with Covid-19. The schoolboy, a talented futsal player, was rushed to Sao Sebastiao Hospital in Santa Maria da Feira but medics were unable to save him.
Emotional tributes have been paid to Vitor, whose death follows that of 16-year-old French girl Julie Alliot, who died in Paris on Friday.
According to reports in Portugal, he suffered from skin disorder psoriasis, which can affect the immune system, but had not other major health problems.
