A reckless world leader has blasted the international coronavirus response — refusing to shut down sporting fixtures and claiming vodka and saunas will keep the killer virus at bay.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko took part in an ice hockey game yesterday as thousands continued to gather to watch football.
The 61-year-old strongman claimed that sport is the best anti-virus remedy in comments that will send chills through medical experts.
He previously said: “The world has gone mad from the coronavirus. “This psychosis has crippled national economies almost everywhere in the world.” The country's football associations have refused to cancel games, and terraces were filled with fans on Saturday.
