Rutherglen and Cambuslang area in the past two weeks, following a pupil at the Ace Place Nursery in Rutherglen and a staff member at Stonelaw High.

NHS Lanarkshire's Test and Protect team are currently working to contact anyone who has been in contact with the affected indivdual.

Dr Josephine Pravinkumar, NHS Lanarkshire consultant in public health medicine, previously asked locals to make sure they are tested if they suffer any Covid-19 symptoms.

She said: “Individuals should stay off nursery, school or work and get tested if they or their close contacts experience any Covid-19 symptoms, such as a cough, fever or loss of taste or smell, even if they are mild.
