A new study has found that coronavirus can leave children paralysed in rare cases as the infection can affect the spinal cord.
Researchers and experts from the University of Manchester examined the neurological symptoms in 38 separate unusual cases of Covid-19 in children and teenagers under 18.
Covid-19 has been previously found to cause some neurological issues in adult patients. Some have reported delirium and strokes as problems.
However, the research so far on the neurological implications of Covid-19 has been focused entirely on adults, with little research focusing specifically on children.
