A couple were stuck in a smoke-filled cruise ship cabin for 21 days after a fellow crew member fell sick with coronavirus. Joseph Harrison, 27, and his fiancée and dance partner, Lauren Carrick, 29, said their cabin reeked of tobacco because they were trapped between two smokers' rooms.

The pair have been trapped on Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Infinity for more than 50 days, with three weeks of that time spent in their room, Hull Live reports.

Joseph, of Beverley, near Hull, described how meals and bottles of water were delivered to their room while they were isolating.

He said: "We have been stuck out at sea for 52 days so far and we have managed to do 21 days in isolation where we couldn’t leave our cabin at all.
