Coronavirus: DGCA extends suspension of domestic flights till 14 April

New Delhi: Indian aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has extended the suspension of domestic flights till 14 April to comply with the government's order of a 21-day lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, DGCA said on Friday. "All domestic operators engaged in scheduled, non-scheduled and private aircraft operations in India shall ensure strict compliance of the order," the watchdog said in a statement.

The government had earlier banned passenger flights on all domestic routes from 25 March to 31 March to arrest the spread of the deadly COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the world’s second-most populous nation.
