Narendra Damodardas Modi (born 17 September 1950) is an Indian politician serving as the 14th and current Prime Minister of India since 2014. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi. Modi is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist volunteer organisation. He is the first prime minister outside of the Indian National Congress to win two consecutive terms with a full majority and the second to complete five years in office after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In the wake of coronavirus outbreak in the country, India decided to extend the nationwide lockdown till May 3. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of the lockdown, the Centre suspended all the domestic and international passenger flights May. "All domestic and international scheduled Airlines operations shall remain suspended till 11.59 pm of 3rd May 2020," the ministry of civil aviation said in a statement.
If you have booked flight tickets between April 15 to May 3, you may not get a cash refund against the cancelled fights. Airlines offered rescheduling of tickets without any additional fee instead of full refund in cash.
