Parents have been warned a schoolgirl tested positive for coronavirus despite showing 'no usual symptoms'. A Plymouth school sent out an email to parents and staff to inform them the unnamed 10-year-old pupil had been diagnosed with Covid-19 after initial suspicions she was suffering from tonsilitis.
She is understood to have no underlying health problems and did not have a dry, persistent cough, though her temperature rose to 41.6C, causing convulsions.
Plymouth Live has seen the email - which has also been sent out to neighbouring schools - but has opted not to name the school in question.
