Hair salons must also close across the country to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, an MP today warned. David Morris, a Conservative MP who represents Morecambe and Lunesdale in Lancashire, believes the businesses are susceptible to the spread of the infection which has killed more than 230 Brits.
Bars, clubs, restaurants and leisure facilities have already been ordered to shut for the foreseeable future by the government but Mr Morris wants hair salons, beauty salons and nail bars to be added to that list.
