Coronavirus: Northern Territory first Australian state to open pubs, allow weddings and funerals

As lockdown laws in Australia are set to loosen up, Northern Territory is announced as the first state to allow public outings, including the visitation of local pubs, attending weddings and funerals.

According to ABC, Chief Minister Michael Gunner revealed NT's "new normal" as it slowly takes back it's coronavirus restrictions. "Today we make our first steps on the road to recovery, because we are the safest place in Australia, we can do this before the rest of Australia," Mr Gunner said. "The whole idea is get to as close to normal without putting you at risk and without putting some of Australia's vulnerable at risk. "This new normal will be with us for a while."
