Nurses from all over England will be transferred to London after the capital faces a "tsunami" of coronavirus patients in the next few days.

London's ExCel conference centre will be turned into the newly-built Nightingale hospital to make space for the increasing number of COVID-19 patients.

The new measures will also see doctors sleep on site for six weeks, as well as to explore whether "ventilators intended for one person can be used for two," reports The Guardian.

Measures are to be put in place next month, when intensive care nurses will be asked to work in the capital during the peak of the pandemic.
