Coronavirus: One more death, 204 new cases in Ireland

The Department of Health has announced that another patient diagnosed with Covid-19 has died. The patient was a male in the east of the country.

There have now been seven Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland. There are 204 new cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland bringing the total number of cases to 1,329.

Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan confirmed that the deceased patient had an underlying condition and extended his sympathies to his family.

The HSE is now working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.
