A 27-year-old who died of coronavirus had no underlying health conditions, the NHS Trust has said. The patient passed away at a Nottingham hospital, and his family has been informed, Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that a significant proportion of the people who died of Covid-19 in one day had no underlying health problems.

In a 24-hour period between April 1 and 2, 44 coronavirus patients without underlying health problems succumbed to Covid-19.

As the virus continues to spread throughout the UK the number of previously healthy people who're dying is increasing. The UK's youngest coronavirus victim is a 13-year-old schoolboy, it was confirmed earlier this week.
