Coronavirus: Renfrewshire Council cancels key board meetings and non-essential home visits

Renfrewshire Council has pulled the plug on all scheduled board meetings until late June in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting of the regulatory functions board on Thursday will go ahead, but following this there will be no board meetings until at least Wednesday, June 24.However, the emergencies board will meet every Friday at 11am.The board oversees the activities of the council, including the deployment of resources, in the event of an emergency and will operate in place of the council for the foreseeable future to decide all major policy matters.

Some  other decisions during this time will be delegated to officers.A final decision on whether the full council meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 25, will be made at a later
