A Heathhall couple were stranded on a sunshine holiday as airlines shut down flights.Leslie Telfer and 65-year-old partner Robert Bell jetted out to the Canary Islands with pals Sharon and Robert Cameron.But they were thrown into turmoil when their airline Ryanair withdrew return flights as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.And the couple and their two pals were left to fork out £1700 for new flights home.They had to organise their own return journey and scramble for airline seats after being “abandoned” by package company Teletext Holidays.The couple were surprised they were flown out to Fuerteventura in the first place.When they met other travellers in the VIP lounge at Edinburgh Airport on March 14 many said it looked like their
