Coronavirus Scotland: 17 new cases confirmed but no increase in death toll

Ayrshire & Arran region have been diagnosed with the coronavirus which is up one from yesterday's figure. There remain fewer than five patients, within the health board's region, in intensive care with confirmed or suspected COVID-19.And the number of people in hospital with confirmed coronavirus at midnight also stands at fewer than five.

Scotland's COVID-19 death toll stands at 2,482 although figures released by the National Records of Scotland on Wednesday report 4,119 deaths linked to the illness have been registered up to Sunday, June 21.

Across Scotland, a total of 248,381 tests have been carried out with 18,213 delivering a positive result for the coronavirus.The rolling seven-day average number of daily positive tests recorded.
