A total of 57 NHS Ayrshire & Arran workers have tested positive for coronavirus. Health chiefs say that they’ve carried out 427 tests for the deadly bug on staff in the region.
A further 50 tests were also carried out on family members or household contacts.As a result of tests carried out on NHS staff between March 22 and March 31, a total of 57 tests came back positive, bosses confirmed.Dr Crawford McGuffie, NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s medical director, said: “Since we began our in-house laboratory analysis on March 22, we have carried out 477 tests for COVID-19 on staff and family members/household contacts.“Of these, 427 were staff members and 50 were family members/household contacts.“Following the tests, 420 staff were able to return to
