Coronavirus Scotland: Five new deaths as further easing of lockdown restrictions expected

Five new deaths from coronavirus have been reported as Scotland gets set to enter phase two of the route map out of lockdown.Latest figures from the Scottish Government show 2,453 people have now succumbed to the disease.Giving her daily briefing, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she expected to confirm a further easing of restrictions on Thursday  - although she warned that not all measures would be implemented overnight.It is expected that some personal restrictions will be lifted and non-essential shops and outdoor bars and restaurants reintroduced.Across Scotland, a total of 213,527 tests have been carried out with 18,045 delivering a positive result for COVID-19.In Ayrshire hospitals, five people are battling confirmed.
