Coronavirus deaths in the UK's hospitals have jumped by 21 in the past 24 hours. The hospital death toll now stands at a grim 32,836 across the country, according to figures released today.
There were 20 deaths in England, one in Wales while Scotland and Northern Ireland reported no new deaths. NHS England said that seven people had died in the Midlands while just one patient died in London.
Scotland has recorded zero new deaths for the sixth time this month, Nicola Sturgeon said earlier today. Public Health Wales revealed one further person from Covid-19, taking the total number of deaths to 1,478, while the total number of cases there increased by 71 to 15,197.
