The number of people with coronavirus in an Ayrshire hospital has hit a new low.Scottish Government figures show today that the number of patients with COVID-19 in hospital now sits at 21 – a reduction of five from yesterday – which is almost a 20 per cent fall.Cases in the region now stand at 1,015 – 14 more from yesterday.Meanwhile, the number of people in intensive care, within the health board's region, at midnight with confirmed or suspected coronavirus was below five.Across Scotland, 2,261 people have now died – an increase of 16 from yesterday.Positive cases in Scotland now stand at 15,041 with 99,932 tests carried out.Ayrshire and Arran – 1,015Borders – 322Dumfries and Galloway – 257Fife – 826Forth Valley – 915Grampian – 1,223Greate

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Washington Commanders safety Deshazor Everett has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the fatal car crash that took the life of his girlfriend Olivia Peters. According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Everett was charged after investigators determined he was driving over 90 mph just before the crash. Authorities say Everett, 29, turned himself into the Louduon County Adult Detention Center Tuesday afternoon. RELATED: Washington Football Team player discharged from hospital after car crash that killed Maryland womanBoth Everett and Peters were traveling north on Gum Spring Road near Ticonderoga Road in a 2010 Nissan GT-R the night of the crash in December 2021. Loudoun County Sherrif's Office said the vehicle the couple was in veered off the right side of the roadway, struck several trees, and rolled over.  Peters was taken to StoneSprings Hospital where she died from her injuries. Everett was taken to Reston Hospital Center and treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Everett posted a $10,000 secured bond and has been released from custody.
