Authorities today launched a nationwide search for participants of Tabligh Jamaat Markaz at Hazrat Nizamuddin held earlier this month in the national capital New Delhi, which has become the new hotspot of the coronavirus pandemic amid fears that thousands present there could have carried the deadly virus to the length and breadth of the country.
The Home Ministry today said it was committed to identify, isolate and quarantine the COVID-19 positive Tabligh Jamaat workers in the country.
The MHA said it had already shared details of foreign and Indian Tabhlig Jamaat workers in India with all States on 21 March 2020, after COVID-19 positive cases among these workers surfaced in Telangana.
