Boris Johnson's winter plan for coronavirus tiers was approved by MPs last night, with 99% of the country placed in Tiers 2 and 3 as of today.
The rules passed despite Labour refusing to back them, and dozens of mutinous Tory MPs voting against in a humiliating night for the Prime Minister.
The latest restrictions were approved by MPs after a heated debate. MPs voted 291 for to 78 against. But due to Labour abstaining a majority of MPs did not approve the measures and a large number of Tory MPs rejected the measures.
