Carol Sutton, an actress best known for her work in the movie Steel Magnolias, has sadly died at the age of 76 due to complications from coronavirus. Sutton died on Thursday (December 10) in New Orleans after being hospitalized for several days, according to local outlet WGNO.
In the 1989 movie Steel Magnolias, Carol played the role of Nurse Pam. She also appeared in the recent movie Poms and in TV shows like Queen Sugar, Lovecraft Country, and True Detective. LaToya Cantrell, the mayor of New Orleans, said, “Carol Sutton was practically the Queen of New Orleans theater, having graced the stages across the city for decades.
